We saw multiple alligators including baby alligators, even in the south Florida summer heat! My boys were asking about going back in the winter months before we got back to our hotel! It was also a great adventure! Our boys, 11 and 14, loved it. We covered about 35 miles during our tour. On our tour we seemed to be the only people out there! Our guide Alex provided so much info about the Everglades, the history of the area, information about the wildlife and conservation efforts. It was worth the drive!! Since we were coming from Marco Island/Naples area we had to travel an additional 30-40 minutes to arrive at the tour’s start. This tour does not start in Everglade City like many others. We had 2 way headphones to communicate with each other and Alex. We chose the tour based on reviews and the fact it was a private tour. We took the 90 minute airboat tour with Tour Guide Alex. They have 1 hour, 1 1/2 hour, and 2 hour tours. We saw many birds and alligators and Ronnie was very entertaining. Down South operates in the Miccosukee Indian tribal land. We had a great time, informative ride, and saw the Everglades grass on a grand scale the other companies did not match. The boat was very comfortable, and headset/microphones allowed us to talk and ask questions.
